Private and Group Cello Lessons
I accept students as young as age four and all the way to adulthood!
I believe the chemistry between a student and teacher are of paramount importance in the trajectory of a student's progress; therefore I offer a free 30-minute trial lesson so we can see if I am the right teacher for you and your child.
All students receive a weekly private lesson, as well as monthly group classes (an essential component of students' growth, providing friendship and community, ensemble-building skills, and interactive ways to develop and learn new skills) and a semester recital.
I utilize a wide variety of repertoire to aid in the technical and musical development of every unique pupil, including supplemental technique and etude books where appropriate.
Let's have a conversation about your goals and needs, my approach, and see if we will be a good fit on this journey!
For more information about the Suzuki philosophy and method see The Suzuki Approach.
My rate is $70 per hour, prorated according to lesson length, with a sliding scale, as I believe cost should not interfere with one's ability to take music lessons so I am happy to discuss options to make lessons financially feasible. Please contact me to discuss whether I am the right instructor for you or your child.
